Hello Hard-Working Soul.
It’s only Wednesday – some of you already feel behind the 8-ball.
I know. Me too.
And it’s not just about the to do list of dishes and laundry and blog posts and dinner and business meetings and more… No it’s also about the “life” to do list. All the stuff you planned in January that hasn’t happened yet. Or the stuff from seven years ago that is still unfinished.
All.The.Unfinished.Work.
All.The.Stuff.To.Fix.
(I’m overwhelmed if I sit on these thoughts too long)
And here’s the thing…getting it ALL done, well my sweet soul, it’s just not gonna happen.
AND IT’S OKAY.
it is.
And that brings us to the 9th Truth Card for the year. What is important are the BIG things in life, and the time spent with loved ones. After that it’s all a to-do list that doesn’t always need to be done. A litany of things that…..CONSIDER THIS….. don’t need fixing. At least not today when you feel like you could use some TLC.
Be kind. Be kinder. To you. Today, breathe it in, and know that it doesn’t all need to be fixed today.
My hope is that one day these Truth Cards will come to good use. Eventually I’d like to publish them with proceeds benefiting TWLOHA (because I think what they do is so very important). I have no idea how that will work, but it is a wish. For now they are my gift to you. So without further ado, here is your Truth Card to print. Thanks so much for your inspirational words….how true it is that it doesn’t have to all be done today! The older I get the more I understand this and the more I look back on how foolish I was to worry about such petty things when my babies were little. Now they are grown and I can only cherish what time I have left with them…..how is it that things that need fixed can ever come before a baseball game, or a bicycle ride? I can only hope that they learn before I did that the important things are the people right in front of you, not the lawn, not the floor that needs mopped, not the fingerprints that need wiped.
