Products & Design Choices

Face Painting and Glitter (Body Art) Tattoos typically take 5 to 10 minutes per participant. Face Painting last 24 hours, and Glitter (Body Art) Tattoos can last up to 2 weeks and are waterproof for several days. If the event is large and you want many participants to receive services, I will offer fewer and simpler designs so that more people may be painted in less time.

Products: I only use professional-grade cosmetic paints, that are designed to be used on the skin. All face paints are manufactured using only ingredients fully compliant with FDA toy cosmetic regulations, and are non-toxic. Face paints are water-based. Note that the black face paint requires a little extra attention to remove. All come off with warm water, baby-oil, and/or baby-shampoo.

Who Get’s Painted

I’ll paint children who are old enough to understand what I’m doing and are willing to participate (typically age 3 or older). Small children who cannot sit in the chair alone, hold still, or appear scared will not be painted. Older children that want to be painted, but cannot sit still may have their arm or hand painted. I am happy to paint adults to providing they are well-behaved – and by well-behaved…I mean not inebriated. If any person appears to be sick (sneezing, runny rose, runny eyes, cough, etc…) or has cold sores, rashes, infectious skin conditions, open acne/wounds will not be painted. This is for strict sanitary reasons.

Pricing

Birthday/Family Party:
One artist for 2 hours is $150; each additional hour is $75
A second artist can be added for $50 per hour.
Please provide a shady spot for my table and chair set up.

Corporate or Community Event (requiring space setup &  pop-up tent):
One artist for 2 hours is $170; each additional hour is $85
A second artist can be added for $70 per hour.
Please allow 20 minute set-up time, unless you are providing pop-up tent, table, and chairs.

Non-Profits: Please contact me for discounted or pro-bono work.

Travel:
If within a 5 mile radius of El Dorado Hills, then there is no travel charge. A travel fee of $1/mile round trip may be applicable outside the El Dorado Hills area. I frequently waive this fee depending on date/location.

Booking Information

Events require a 50% deposit in advance. Payment in full is required 10 days prior to your event. Cancellations with a 15-day notice receive a full refund. If an event is canceled with less than 14-day notice, any paid monies except the deposit is returned. If the event is canceled with less than 5-days before the event, there will be no refund. You will however receive a voucher for any money paid above the deposit amount to use towards a future event.

Tip Jar: at private birthday parties, a tip jar will not be present. But at any public/corporate event it will be available. Should you request no tip jar, a 10% gratuity will be added to your price. Artists tend to receive $1 – $5 in tips per painting/body art.
