Sunday is usually my “Ten Words” day – so I thought I’d recap my experience at the CLASS Christian Writers Conference at Ghost Ranch in that manner:
Amazing experience. God was there. Plethora of information to process.
I’m home now and so happy. Nothing is like home. Nothing is like seeing your husband at the airport, waiting for you with a big hug and smile (and to carry the overweight suitcase!).
Okay, so this has got to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, it’s also been one of the hardest. Nothing I read about the conference could have prepared me for the physical, mental and spiritual fatigue I experienced. Sure the CLASS website said Continue reading »
going to bed. It’s a gorgeous day at Ghost Ranch, but I fear I woke up with “something”. My throat felt funny and I had chills. Now if you know me, I run HOT; so getting the chills is NOT me at all. Well I had some Airborne in my “stash of everything” - so I took that and some extra Vitamin D. I also just sent out an urgent email prayer request for a miracle of this icky possible bug thing to be gone.
Hey, by the way – did you see the new “menu” I put up last week. Look it’s right over there on the left….scroll down a little - THERE – you got it!
a drink from a fire hose. Get it? Wow.
It’s an adobe mud church. Pretty cool, and 3 pianos inside. I’m not gonna go into great detail about what went on last night, but I’ll say it was spiritual and special. At this point, those of us here feel chosen and certain that we are where God needed us to be. Simply put, we surrendered our agendas for God’s purpose. While we have dreams and hopes, we have no idea what God has planned…but rest-assured He has plans…if we are open to those plans made especially for us. Isn’t that just great?!? It was an awesome experienced and “fixed” the tone of what this conference is really about.
Check out this awesome view from Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico. This is what I’m looking at for the next 6 days while I soak up as much info as I can at the Class Christian Writers Conference (CCWC).
Writers Conference in November. I’ve told many of you I’m nervous. Specifically I’ve said, “I could just throw up.” And I feel like I’ve been “begging” for prayers.
