Purgatory – don’t tell me it’s not real. Don’t tell me it’s only for Catholics. Don’t tell me it’s not in the Bible. Because it’s real; and we are in it.
You might not know you’re in purgatory, but you are.

For the summer I’ve been on a hit-and-miss treasure hunt when it comes to reading scripture. I’ve let online / email / blog devotions lead me along the way for the last 90 days. Which has felt a little chaotic, but it’s also led me to places I didn’t expect. 
I’m having a day (really a week going on two) of mixed emotions. It’s all something like “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. Who knew that a title, from a spaghetti western movie made before my birth, would get so much use!

There is an Indian Proverb that says, “Call on God, but row away from the rocks”. Also some doped up author/reporter said this and erroneously gets credit for the quote, and others say this is an Aborigine Proverb…
