Bits of Truth

“I haven’t failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”  ~ Thomas Edison (American inventor – phonograph, motion picture camera, and a long-lasting practical electric light bulb – just to name a few)

Today give yourself permission to make mistakes. While we don’t set out to make them, we stifle creating beauty by never trying. You never know when that “light bulb” moment will arrive.

  1. I know I’m not afraid of failure….I’ve done that all my life. Perhaps afraid of success?
Rick Warren’s quote really got to me though…(paraphrased) — What if God chose you to be this age’s Michaelangelo, and you were so busy doing other things….good things….that you never had the time to paint or sculpt?

  2. I try my best to embrace failure becasue it’s just so close to success. Your reflection reminds me of a quote by Abraham Lincoln – “Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.”.
