“People who soar are those who refuse to sit back, sigh, and wish things would change. They neither complain of their lot nor passively dream of some distant ship coming in. Rather, they visualize in their minds that they are not quitters; they will not allow life’s circumstances to push them down and hold them under.” ~ Charles R Swindoll (evangelical Christian pastor, author, educator)
It’s so cliché to say, “you have to swim out to your ship?”
BUT seriously?… how else is it going to happen?
Even if all you do is one micro-mini-baby-step every day towards the “ship” you dream of–you will have gone father than sitting back and sighing.
A friend who is no less than fully truthful to you (a rare find), a mentor who wishes to see you succeed, or a life coach who holds a space for accountability:
these things (above) + you and all your courage to take the gazillion micro-mini-baby-steps creates the “floaties” you need to get out to that ship.
