Bits of Truth

Happy Mid-Week Radiant Winged Souls!

Today’s gift, a 3rd Truth Card for you.

Our perspective changes everything. And sometimes you have to look at an obstacle sideways, upside down, or even inside out to find a solution.

One of my favorite stories about perspective comes from a book called: The Cow In The Parking Lot

The short story is this:
“Imagine you are circling a crowded parking lot when, just as you spot a space,
another driver races ahead and takes it. Easy to imagine the rage.

But now imagine that instead of another driver, a cow has lumbered into that parking space and settled down. The anger dissolves into bemusement.

What really changed?”

The answer is simple. You changed. Your perspective changed.

The next time you’re stuck, start brainstorming the crazy answers. Give it to a friend. Or better yet, give it to a child – children are crazy wise sometimes.

My hope is that one day these Truth Cards will come to good use. Eventually I’d like to publish them with proceeds benefiting TWLOHA (because I think what they do is so very important). I have no idea how that will work, but it is a wish. For now they are my gift to you. So without further ado, here is your Truth Card to print. I’m offering one each week, collect them all and you’ll have a beautiful set of 52 cards. Simply click on the card (which takes you to my Flickr set) and download and print. I have my Truth Cards on a small easel. They look best printed 5″ x 5″. You are free to give them to others, in fact it would be a huge honor if you did. I just ask that you do not remove the copyright info. This is an honor system, I honor you, you honor me.   n♥JOY!

    • WOW Susan – what an honor to have you swing by! Your book (The Cow in the Parking Lot) really is wonderful. It was suggested to me when I got stuck in a rut in really awful ways. A great source for getting past frustrating circumstances.
